The Best Off-Road Jeep Trails in West Virginia I've taken my jeep offroad in many places across the US. And If you're looking for amazing and challenging off-road trails for your jeep, West Virginia is the place to go. Before you rev up your engine and hit the road, I've put together a list of the 9 Best Jeep Trails in West Virginia. The Hatfield McCoy Trail System Burning Road Off-Road Park Rush Off-Road Chaos Off-Road Park Wagon ATV Resort and Campground Twin Mountain Off-Road New River Gorge OHV Route King Knob Off-Road Park The Greenbrier Off-Road Adventures The Hatfield McCoy Trail System Hatfield McCoy Trails accommodates off-road vehicles of all sorts, including jeeps. In fact, if you have a Jeep, it is one of the best places to take it off-road. Covering over 800 miles of mountain trails, the Hatfield McCoy Trail system is the most extensive vehicle system globally, except for highways. Some of their best trails are the Buffalo Mountain, Pinnacle Creek, and the Indian Ridge Trailheads. Burning Road Off-Road Park The Burning Road Off-Road Park is sure to give you the hit of adrenaline that you need. Located 3.5 miles away from the town of Sophia, this park covers 100,000 acres of land and has different trails for SUVs, ATVs, UTVs, and dirt bikes. Whether you are a novice or a pro, you can find something that is fun and challenging in one of the many trails that span over 100 miles. At Burning Rock, there are trails for the whole family and for seasoned professionals! You can partake in many activities, including camping, booking rustic cabins, and lodgings at Pine Haven. Rush Off-Road The Rush Off-Road Trail is open to all enthusiasts and consists of over 100 miles of trails. If you’re feeling competitive, you can participate in one of the many off-road contests that are held at the facility. This park has more than 190 raving reviews on Google Maps! Curious about learning how to navigate complex trails? Well, they have training courses that will take you from a beginner to an expert at off-roading. The best part of it all is that you can take a hot shower at the facility at the end of your day! Chaos Off-Road Park With 400 acres of land, the Chaos Off-Road Park has some of the best trails for 4x4 vehicles. While they do not accommodate dirt bikes, ATVs, and other four-wheelers, you can take your off-road SUV and partake in obstacle courses, do some rock crawling, or go wild at the obstacle courses. Wagon ATV Resort and Campground IMPORTANT NOTE: Be sure to call in if they are allowing Jeeps on the trails. I have heard of people getting on these trails with their Jeeps but they may be updating their rules. The kind of rush that you get with the wind blowing through your hair as you hit the off-roads is second to none and the Wagon ATV Resort and Campground offers just that. New River Gorge OHV Route Picture this: you’re driving your 4x4 through a beautiful forest for 12.5 miles. King Knob Off-Road Park Spanning over 1,300 acres, you can have fun with just about any off-road vehicle at King Knob Off-Road Park. With most of the terrain being intermediate level and lots of jumps and hill climbs, your heart will always be racing as you go through the park. The Greenbrier Off-Road Adventures Get behind the wheel of a modified Jeep Wrangler or a Polaris RZR as the trained staff guides you through the rough terrain in the 11,000-acre land.
